1. Acceptance & revisions

1.1 Acceptance

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are established by STARMAPLABS ("we") and constitute the agreement between you and us when you download, install, access or use the Smart Printer iOS client V1.0.0 and later compatible versions (the "App"). Before downloading or using the App, you should read and fully understand these Terms, in particular the provisions in bold that exclude or limit liability and the dispute resolution provisions.

By downloading, installing or using the App, or otherwise benefiting from the service, you are deemed to have read and accepted these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using and uninstall the App immediately.

1.2 Revisions

• We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect legal or regulatory changes or product iterations, and will publish the revised version, version number and effective date on this page.
• For material revisions affecting liability limitations or dispute resolution, we will notify you via an in-app popup or prominent notice and, where legally required, obtain your renewed consent.
• Your continued use after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, you must stop using and uninstall the App. Previous versions are available on request via the email address below.

2. Definitions

• App / Smart Printer: the iOS mobile printing tool client and related services provided by us.
• User content: documents, photos, email, text, contact fields, web content, scanned images and print pack items you select, import, capture, edit or print.
• Print pack: a feature organizing content from multiple sources in order into one continuous print job, with creation, editing, whole-pack check and a print summary.
• Smart print check: on-device detection of 9 computable issue types — blank pages, cropping, orientation, page ranges and more — before system printing, graded as "fix required / suggested / passed".
• System printing: Apple iOS AirPrint capabilities and the system print page that handle final printer selection and submission.

3. Service description

The App is an iOS-first mobile printing productivity tool. The current version mainly provides:

1. Unified print sources: six print sources — documents, photos, email, text, contacts and web pages;
2. Print pack: organize multiple sources in order into one continuous task, with per-item page ranges, whole-pack smart check, a print summary and automatic draft saving;
3. Smart print check: automatic detection of 9 issue types with graded prompts and one-tap fix or ignore options;
4. Preset templates: photos support full-page single, 2-per-page, 4-per-page and thumbnail contact sheets; contacts support simple cards, detail view, address-book list and address labels;
5. Mobile scan: camera or photo-library import with auto/manual capture, crop, filters and rotation; results can be shared, saved or sent to print preview;
6. Recent files & drafts: time-ordered recent records with category filtering and swipe-to-delete; drafts recoverable after an abnormal exit;
7. Printer management: automatic discovery of compatible printers on the LAN, one-tap switching, and recovery attempts when a connection drops;
8. Task status & history: queued, printing, succeeded and failed states, one-tap retry for failed jobs, and on-device history.

You acknowledge that the App only organizes and submits your selected content to iOS system printing; we do not manufacture printer hardware and are not an official printer-vendor management app. Features may differ by app version, device environment or your choices; what is actually available in the App prevails.

4. Eligibility & environment requirements

• The App supports iOS only; the minimum required system version is iOS 15. Some features require newer system capabilities and may be unavailable on devices below the requirement.
• Mobile printing requires an AirPrint-enabled printer, and your device and printer must be on the same LAN (same Wi-Fi network); output is also affected by printer hardware, supplies, paper and network quality.
• You bear your own internet access, mobile data and printing supply costs; we do not provide network access or printing hardware.
• You must be a natural person with the required legal capacity; minors should use the App with a guardian's accompaniment and consent and comply with Apple App Store account requirements.

5. Accounts & devices

• The App currently does not require a separate account or login.
• You must safeguard your device, Apple ID and verification information. Losses caused by your own disclosure, account theft or failure to adopt reasonable security measures are borne by you.
• After changing devices, reinstalling or resetting the system, on-device user content, drafts and printer records cannot be restored automatically.

6. User conduct

You commit to using the App lawfully, properly and in good faith, and you must not:

1. print, produce or distribute content that violates laws, endangers national security, incites ethnic hatred or undermines social stability;
2. print, produce or distribute obscene, pornographic, violent, terrorist, gambling or fraud content, or content that instigates crime;
3. infringe others' intellectual property, portrait, reputation, privacy, trade secret or other legitimate rights;
4. harm minors or print/distribute illegal information involving minors;
5. reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or extract code from the App, or otherwise attempt to obtain source code or internal logic, except where expressly permitted by law;
6. copy, rent, lend, resell, mirror or commercially provide the App or its features, or remove or alter any rights notices or security measures;
7. use the App to attack or interfere with networks or printers, distribute malware, or disrupt normal operation;
8. use the App in any way that violates the Apple App Store Review Guidelines, developer agreements or local law.

If we reasonably believe you have engaged in any of the above, we may warn you, suspend features or terminate the service as appropriate, and reserve the right to pursue legal liability. Resulting losses are borne by you, and you must compensate us or third parties for losses caused.

7. User content & license

7.1 Ownership of content

The intellectual property and other legitimate rights in user content you select, generate or print through the App belong to you or the respective rights holders. The App claims no ownership of user content. Liability arising from unlawful or infringing user content is borne by you.

7.2 Limited license

To provide the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license: solely on your device, to read, parse and temporarily process user content for the purpose of preview, layout, smart check and system print submission. This license does not transfer any user content; in the current version we do not upload your content to servers. The license terminates when you delete the content or uninstall the App.

7.3 Content in the print path

You acknowledge that once user content is submitted to system printing, iOS sends it to the printer you choose; how the printer itself processes content in its memory, storage or vendor cloud is controlled by the printer vendor and is outside these Terms. Please collect printouts promptly on shared or public printers.

8. Intellectual property

• The intellectual property in the App's name, logo, interface design, icons, preset templates, copy, code and other materials belongs to STARMAPLABS or the respective rights holders, protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
• Without our written permission, no one may copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent these materials or use them for any commercial purpose.
• AirPrint, Bonjour, App Store and related names/marks in the App are the property of Apple Inc. or its affiliates; other third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

11. Third-party services & external links

• The App relies on Apple system capabilities including AirPrint, Bonjour; your use of them is also subject to Apple Media Services Terms, App Store rules and Apple's privacy policy.
• Actual completion of a print job depends on third-party printer hardware and firmware; we are not responsible for software, firmware updates or cloud services provided by printer vendors.
• In-app legal documents come from a trusted HTTPS domain; if the pages contain any third-party links, their content is independent of us and you visit them at your own risk.

12. Software updates & maintenance

• We may release updates through the App Store, including new features, defect fixes and new-system adaptation; updating to the latest version is recommended for a complete and secure experience.
• To safeguard quality and security, we may perform maintenance, upgrades or troubleshooting when necessary, minimizing impact on your use.
• We are not obliged to keep unsupported older versions compatible; these Terms remain binding on older versions.

13. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge and agree:

1. The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no express or implied promise of compatibility with every printer model, connection stability, output quality, color fidelity or printing timeliness;
2. Smart print check is based on heuristics and computable metrics (e.g. a prompt appears only when actual output DPI can be computed and is strictly below 150 DPI) and cannot identify every content risk; when the placement resolution of an image embedded in a PDF cannot be reliably obtained, no corresponding confirmation item is shown. Check suggestions are for reference only and the final print decision is yours;
3. For failures caused by factors outside our control — network interruptions, router isolation, offline printers, paper or ink shortages, corrupted or encrypted files, revoked permissions or iOS restrictions — we provide prompts and retries within reasonable limits but cannot guarantee job completion;
4. The App neither collects nor hosts your print content and therefore bears no vicarious liability for content loss, damage or third-party access caused by device loss, system failure, uninstallation or printer compromise; please back up important files and collect printouts yourself;
5. We are legally exempt from liability for interruption or loss caused by force majeure (natural disasters, government actions, telecom/network failures, war, epidemics, etc.);

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, STARMAPLABS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the App (including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, paper and supply loss, lost profits or third-party claims), even if we were previously informed of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent permitted by law, the current version is provided free of charge and we bear no monetary liability. These Terms do not limit or exclude liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (e.g. liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury or statutory product liability).

15. Your indemnity

If your breach of these Terms or applicable laws, or the content you print or process infringing third-party rights, causes any third-party claim, complaint, lawsuit, fine, loss or reasonable expense (including legal fees) against us, our affiliates, employees or partners, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless in full upon our request. We may choose our own defense and settlement strategy, and you must cooperate.

16. Service changes, interruption & termination

• We may add, adjust or retire features according to the version iteration plan; material changes to functionality will be announced prominently in-app.
• If you breach these Terms or applicable law, we may restrict features, suspend or terminate the service to you as appropriate, and reserve the right to pursue liability.
• You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time; uninstalling clears on-device user content, scans, print pack drafts and printer records.
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimer, liability limitation, indemnity, dispute resolution, etc.) remain in effect.

17. Governing law & dispute resolution

• The formation, validity, interpretation, performance and dispute resolution of these Terms are governed by the laws most closely connected to you, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
• Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may submit it to the court with competent jurisdiction over you.
• Where the law of your jurisdiction grants consumers mandatory rights or dispute channels that cannot be excluded by contract, this section does not exclude the application of such mandatory provisions.

18. Miscellaneous

• Severability: if any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and the parties will replace it with a valid provision closest to the original intent.
• No waiver: our failure or delay in exercising any right does not constitute a waiver of it.
• Assignment: you may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent; we may assign these Terms in a merger or acquisition with prior notice.
• Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App, superseding prior oral or written arrangements.
• Language: if Chinese and English versions exist, the Chinese version prevails; the English version is a convenience translation.
• Headings: section headings are for reading convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
